Jeanette is a professional, award winning, international artist from Vancouver BC, who now lives and works from her studio in Crescent Beach, BC. She began classical oil painting at the age of 11 and received a District Art Scholarship and an Art Council Scholarship upon graduation. Jeanette was accepted into the renowned Emily Carr University of Art & Design in 1992, she was awarded four more scholarships for her work, receiving her Bachelor’s Degree in Fine Art in 1996. She lived and studied art in Berlin, Germany for a year being taught by master sculptors and painters. While there she traveled extensively throughout Europe inspired by the Masters Works and historic architecture.
Jeanette has been awarded public art commissions, received The Richmond Mayors Art Award for Artistic Innovation and has her AFCA Signature Status with the Federation of Canadian Artists. She is a founding member and past Chair of an organization promoting local arts, The Richmond Arts Coalition, and is a popular instructor and juror for City art projects and competition art shows.
Jeanette’s art can be found in private and corporate collections throughout Canada, USA, Australia, Asia, and Europe. Her work has been featured on television, in movies, and in many news articles and magazines. She has shown in solo and group exhibitions locally and internationally, has had work shown in The McBride Museum and has gallery representation in Canada and the USA.
